November 25, 2017
A homeless man in New Haven, Conn., who returned a $10,000 check has been rewarded with cash, a home, and a job interview.

Two weeks ago, Elmer Alvarez returned a lost check for $10,000 to successful businesswoman Dr. Roberta Hoskie.
Hoskie took to Facebook Live as she met up with Alvarez. "He has absolutely no idea what's about to happen," she said.
First, Hoskie presented him with a certificate of appreciation to recognize his honesty. She then offered him a full scholarship to the Outreach School of Real Estate, of which she’s the president and CEO.
She also gave him contact information for one of her partners, who is waiting to interview Alvarez to provide him with work.
Then, an unexpected gift.
"You don't have to worry about being in the cold," she told Alvarez. "We have housing for you."
He teared up and said, "Thank God!"
His rent will be paid for the next six months.
But Hoskie has one stipulation for Alvarez: pay it forward.
"When you get on your feet, you go ahead and you do it for the next person and the next person and the next person," she told him.
