I Do Instacart And Shop For People
By a friend • October 13, 2023
I do Instacart and shop for people.
Got an order that was fairly small, it was mostly protein drinks, some snacks and a bottle of wine.
When I arrived and knocked on the door to get the customers ID info for the alcohol, an old man opened the door and immediately hugged me.
He told me his wife is dying of cancer and he can't leave the house to shop. He buys her protein drinks and her fav snacks and went on about how much he adores and loves her and that he does leave the house because he wants to be by her side 24/7.
He wanted to tip me extra cash on top but I declined it. It made me feel good that something so small as delivering food to someone's door made their day.
