March 8, 2023

Karen Carpenter is often regarded as one of the greatest singers of all time. She had a distinctive three-octave contralto range.

Paul McCartney has said that she had "the best female voice in the world".

Elton John said she had "one of the greatest voices of our lifetime".

In this video from NetMusic, her vocals have been isolated from the song "(They Long to Be) Close to You" by The Carpenters.

It's heavenly.
