Elderly Man Left Neighbor's Daughter 14 Years Worth Of Christmas Gifts
December 19, 2018
A Welsh father could not believe his eyes when his neighbor's daughter knocked on the door to drop off a large bag filled with Christmas gifts.
The neighbor, Ken, lived next door to the Williams family for two years and had recently passed away.
It turns out he had been buying Christmas gifts for the Williams' 2-year-old daughter for the next 14 years.
Our elderly neighbour passed away recently. His daughter popped round a few moments ago clutching a large plastic sack. In the sack were all the Christmas presents he’d bought for *our* daughter for the next thirteen years. 😢 pic.twitter.com/6CjiZ99Cor

"She was clutching this big bag plastic sack and I thought it was rubbish she was going to ask me to throw out," Owen Williams told the BBC. "But she said it was everything her dad had put away for Cadi. It was all of the Christmas presents he had bought for her."
I miscounted. It's fourteen gifts.

He always told us he'd live till he was 100-years-old, so these gifts would have taken him up to our little girl's 16th Christmas.
"My wife was on FaceTime with her mum in Ireland. I popped the bag onto the kitchen counter and my wife started to tear up and I started to tear up, and her mum started to tear up," Williams told CNN.
"It was like a Mary Poppins' bag, the presents kept coming. It's an actually unbelievable Christmas story."
Williams said Ken was 83 years old when they first met two years ago.
"The first time I met him, he was bouncing a 20ft ladder across the face of his house. He was on top. He was 83 at the time."
He said Ken was a former salvage marine diver, a seaman, a carpenter, an engineer, an accordian player -- and a great baker.
Williams described Ken as a "real character."
The Williams family opened one of their daughter's gifts, but remain unsure about what to do for the rest.
We opened one. We couldn’t resist. pic.twitter.com/vlNaRjoFoE

"Some toys won't be suitable for her -- we can't give a 15-year-old a Duplo, for instance," Williams noted.
"I'm gobsmacked at how you could plan this for 14 years."
However, the majority of people following the story think the Williams family should comply with Ken's wishes and give their daughter one present each year.
