Rebecca Paterson says she was shopping at Target with her two young children when both the 2-year-old and the 2-month-old decided to have simultaneous meltdowns, giving the universal signal for "It's time to leave Target immediately."
Paterson had given up on the shopping trip and was putting things back on the shelf when she was approached by a stranger.
The woman, Tiffany Jones-Guillory, offered to walk with Paterson and hold her toddler.
"She walked with me while I got the essentials needed for the day and kept hold of my toddler while he calmed down," Paterson wrote on the private Facebook group, Moms of Pearland. "She saved me today moms!!! I am so sleep deprived and was running on empty. A little kindness and understanding goes a long way."
Jones-Guillory said she's been overwhelmed by the response to her act of kindness.
"I was just trying to do something nice from mom to mom, because I've been in that situation before," she said.
"I heard how frustrated she was, and I wanted to be her guardian angel on that day."
