Texas Roadhouse Employees Go Above And Beyond For Dog’s Last Meal

May 3, 2025

When Hunter placed an order at Texas Roadhouse in Ephrata, Pennsylvania, it wasn’t just for dinner—it was a final act of love for his dog.

He requested a New York Strip steak online and added a heartfelt message in the special instructions: "Our dog's last meal. Please make with love."

The restaurant staff did much more than that.

Not only did they prepare the steak with extra care, but they also refused to charge him for the meal. To top it off, the employees wrote kind notes on the takeout box and receipt—small gestures that meant everything in the moment.

Hunter later shared his gratitude in a social media post, thanking the staff for going above and beyond during an emotional time.

One of the restaurant’s cooks even snapped a photo of the order ticket and shared: “You better believe that was the best steak I’ve ever cooked.”

That message was later shared online and quickly went viral, touching hearts everywhere.
