Compliment A Stranger Today

Today I was in Melbourne CBD and noticed a woman of a certain age dressed beautifully. Her hair was done, she had a gorgeous outfit on and strappy sandals. She looked stunning.

I walked up behind her as she was about to cross at the lights and said to her, "Can I just tell you something? You look absolutely stunning."

She turned and looked at me and said, "You have made my day. Thank you so much for saying that. If only you knew what was going on with my family right now. You have absolutely made my day."

I hope one day someone says that to me, though by the daggy way I dress, I seriously doubt it will ever happen!
