A Gesture That Will Stay With Me For Years To Come

Hello! I was the fortunate recipient of a beautiful act of kindness this weekend in a gesture that will stay with me for years to come, and I'd love to share my experience with you all.

On Saturday, I worked my final retail shift at a place of which I've been employed for the last 4 years. One gentleman made me feel particularly special; this man was the first customer I happened to serve at this particular business and he remained a loyal, everyday customer for the entirety of my time there.

He happened to know this too, as he always joked about how it was why he was my favourite customer.

On Saturday, just before the closing time of right before 5pm, he took it upon himself to come to my work with a beautiful bunch of flowers, and bought something small from me before I closed off the register for the very last time, just so he could also be the final customer I served.

To say I was touched is an understatement and is actually only a very small testament to the lovely and thoughtful man he is. But I'd like to say thanks to Glenn. Because it made me feel very special to know you actually thought enough of me to do that. So thank you!

I hope everyone has a lovely day.
