Our 14 year-old daughter has been working in the cafe at the pub my husband runs for almost a year now.
She’s become so confident and capable in that time but she still remembers what it was like to be nervous to buy something at a shop.
Today a young boy tried to buy some pastries but his bank card kept declining.
On his third try she could see tears welling in his eyes because he was so embarrassed and upset… so without hesitation she bought his treats for him with her own money!
So proud of our miss.
