A Gift That Doesn't Clutter

By Nancy • November 22, 2023

My friends and I are at the age at which we're downsizing.

We want "another thing to clutter the house", making gift giving difficult. I found a wonderful solution that won't create a bit of clutter.

I sew an item, such as a dress or baby blanket. I donate it to charity. I write a card, "In honor of your birthday, I sewed a size 8 dress and donated it to Name of Organization."

I enclose a strip of fabric for my friend to use as a bookmark.

My friends love this gift. In fact, one friend said it brought tears to her eyes, and she prays for the little girl whenever she sees the piece of fabric.
