A Reddit community of 317,000 bread stapling enthusiasts have created something so absurd that it continues to grow years after it was initually launched.

The subreddit (forum)" BreadStapledToTrees" was created in 2017 by a 21-year-old Redditor named Charlie.

More than 5 years later, it's clear that the group is not just a fad.

But the community is surprisingly wholesome!

Members often applaud others for their work. They also critique the work and provide advice on how to improve it.

"It's a very welcoming community and everybody's very kind to each other,” Bob Anderson, one of the community's moderators, told bon appetit.

"Honestly, may be one of the most genuinely supportive communities I've ever found on the internet," a member said.

Naturally, a slice of white bread stapled to a tree wasn't going to keep everyone intrigued.

So, they started getting creative.

"Long time lurker, first time stapler. I present, Avocado Toast!"
