You Are Important
By David Musser • January 22, 2015
I had the grand privileged in my younger years to go into the mountains and saw down trees and cut it into firewood and distribute it to those in need. My memories of those times are precious to me and as I get older I find myself comparing life to a chainsaw.
Like a chainsaw we are a great asset. We have the ability and opportunity to work hard and contribute to a worthy cause. It is necessary from time to time to stop and sharpen the saw. In that time of sharpening is our rest and renewal. A very necessary step to being an effective individual. Life is about finding balance. I wouldn't want to work all the time nor would I want to rest all of the time. Work and rest compliment each other. The key is finding that balance so that you can be the most effective you.
What one thing could you do in your personal and professional life that, if you did on a regular basis, would make a tremendous positive difference in your life?
A long, healthy, and happy life is the result of making contributions, of having meaningful projects that are personally exciting and contribute to and bless the lives of others.
Have a blessed day and take care of you which in turn will give you the ability to bless others more.
