Texas Teacher's New Homework Policy Goes Viral
August 22, 2016
A Fort Worth, Texas teacher's note to parents is going viral after it introduced a student-friendly approach to homework.
"After much research this summer, I am trying something new," the note begins. "Homework will only consist of work that your student did not finish during the school day. There will be no formally assigned homework this year."

Facebook
Samantha Gallagher shared the photo of the note, which her daughter's teacher, Brandy Young, gave students to take home to their parents.
Gallagher wrote on Facebook that people from all over the world have contacted her to tell her they saw the photo. She said she received messages from countries such as Australia, Japan, Ireland and Africa.
I wish this was the policy when I was in school.
