But Disney's Cinderella is one of the strongest female characters of all time because she saves herself from a life of abuse, not by physically kicking ass, but by using kindness, creativity and optimism in the face of adversity.
Cinderella proves that imagination can be very powerful when the outer world seems bleak. Her characteristics are strength from within.
And yet Cinderella has gotten a lot of hate for giving girls a bad role model.
