Andrea was not born deaf, but was involved in an accident and a disease that causes vertigo and deafness. She has combination hearing loss that deteriorated her hearing until she was left with almost nothing. She made the decision to get a cochlear implant and her boyfriend, Kevin, decided this moment would be perfect to pop the question.
