He named the gosling Sam.

The footage captures the unique bond that developed between the two.

"It felt like my child running to see me," Doug said. "She bonded to me very early on."

Doug explained that he made it a routine to visit the geese almost every day, gradually gaining their trust through gentle interactions. Among the flock, one gosling stood out—Sam. She formed an extraordinary attachment to Doug, treating him as if he were her mother.

Whenever Doug visited, Sam would run to him with unwavering enthusiasm, often resting against his leg in a display of affection.
