Woman's Cactus Suddenly Shoots Up 25 Feet, 36 Years After Planting. Here's Why

What started as a curiosity in Georgia is turning into a landmark in Luthersville as one woman patiently waits to finally unveil a rare bloom that she's waited over 36 years to see.

It was 1987 when Jackie planted the cactus.

Nintendo was king. Ronald Reagan was President. The Simpsons made its debut as a series of shorts on "The Tracey Ullman Show".

For 36 years the cactus just sat in her front yard. But when she looked out her window this May, it all of a suddent shot up 25 feet.
