Watch Vegetable Oil Turn This Pyrex Glass Invisible
January 11, 2023
This is a simple science experiment for kids (and adults) that will seem more like magic than science.
Since Vegetable Oil and Pyrex have the same refractive indexes, the glass turns invisible.
When light travels through the glass and then the oil, the speed of light slows down and on reflection, makes the glass seem invisible. The slowing down process of light and reflection through certain objects is known as the index of refraction.
