Farmer Sedates Pig With Beer To Perform Maintenance On Her Hoof

A farmer had to perform some maintenance on his pig's hoof and used beer to sedate her.

Abigail, about a 500 pound sow, had no problem drinking a 6 pack before "passing out".

"She isn't going to allow me to walk up and grab her by the foot," the farmer explained. "I had heard for years about the trick of giving the pig beer for sedating. We try that trick for the first time."
