After 2 Years, Injured Bald Eagle Comes Back To The Hospital That Rescued Him
February 13, 2021
Vlad was originally sent to Alaska Raptor Center in 2019 after getting into a fight with another eagle and was released a few weeks later.
Two years later, Vlad returned seeking help for lead poisoning.
"He just showed up, out of the blue, a few weeks ago, and perched at the Center. Once he was in the clinic, Vlad was found to be very underweight and his lead levels were really high! When we looked up his band number, we found out that we had treated him 2 years ago after he lost a fight with another eagle."
The hospital hopes to release him again next month.
