A Boy Sent Baby Yoda To Help Firefighters. Now They're Taking Him On Calls
September 30, 2020
When a 5-year-old boy learned about the fires in his home state of Oregon, he told his grandmother he wanted to send them something to make them smile: his baby Yoda doll.
So, Carver and his grandmother Sasha Tinning dropped the doll off at a local donation drive for firefighters in Molalla and Colton, Oregon.
Carver left a note on the doll that read: "Thank you, firefighters. Here is a friend for you, in case you get lonely. Love, Carver."
Since then the firefighters have been taking Baby Yoda out on calls like he's one of the crew.
They even document his travels in a Facebook group named "Baby Yoda Fights Fires" so that Carver and others can see how much Baby Yoda has helped them along the way.

After traveling through Oregon and parts of California, baby Yoda is currently helping fight wildfires in Colorado.

""These firefighters are putting their lives on the line," Tinning told CNN. "To have a little bit of sunshine during such a dark time, I think that's really special for them. He (Baby Yoda) is also just cute as the dickens."
