Chardon, Ohio students recount teachers bravery on Twitter

Early in the morning on Monday, a gunman walked into Chardon High School and opened fire on students. According to AP, one student has died, four others were wounded, and a juvenile suspect has been taken into custody. The news spread on texts and tweets from the cell phones of students trapped in a school lockdown. Quickly, a picture emerged of a terrifying tragedy — and the heroism displayed by two teachers.

Coach Frank Hall and Joseph Ricci, both teachers, reportedly chased the shooter out of the school. The shooter apparently appeared to aim his gun at Hall, and the teacher kept charging him, according to students on Twitter. People quickly took the social media network to thank the teachers for their courage.
