Twitter Users Help Reunite Two Childhood Friends

November 25, 2018

A Mississippi woman asked Twitter users to help her find a childhood friend from many years ago, and the internet came to the rescue.

"Hey Twitter, I met this girl on a dinner cruise in Hawaii in 2006," Brianna wrote. "We were basically best friends for that night so I need y’all to help me find my best friend cause I miss her and I need to see how she’s doing now. Please retweet this so we can be reunited."

When Brianna went to sleep that night, her post had just 9 retweets. When she woke up in the morning, there were tens of thousands of retweets and likes.

In less than 24 hours, the mystery was solved.

"Heard you were looking for me," replied a woman named Heii, holding a picture of herself with her family on the same Hawaiian cruise.

"It's been literal years since I was last on Twitter and the first thing I see is a search party for my ass," Heii joked.

Both girls are thrilled about being reunited and have confirmed that they're going to catch up with one another.

After the successful mission, Brianna joked that she could use the internet's help with another desire.
