Pink Stops Concert To Give Grieving Teen A 'Hug From Heaven'
August 23, 2018
Last month, 14-year-old Leah Murphy lost her mother. The two of them bonded over Pink and her music. So on Monday Leah's aunt Katrina Donkin took her to the superstar's concert in Brisbane, Australia.
During the show on Tuesday, Pink stopped singing in the middle of her setlist after Leah's sign caught her attention.
"My name is Leah – I'm 14 years old. I lost my beautiful Mom last month. I would LOVE a hug," the sign read.

Pink immediately came down from the stage to find Leah. Crowds parted so Donkin and Leah could make it to the front row.
"We ended up at the front row and Pink just held her for … it felt like 20 seconds," Donkin said. "And Leah's only 14, she's a teeny-tiny little thing and she just sobbed uncontrollably in her arms."

"I just really feel it was a hug from heaven," Donkin said. "I do feel her mom orchestrated the whole thing."

Pink took a selfie with Leah, signed her arm with a marker, and then hopped back on the stage and said, 'Everyone call your mom!'"
