An apartment building in Rapid City, South Dakota went up in flames after witnesses say the building was struck by lightning.

Spencer Butler started off filming the blaze before realizing he could help. With his camera still recording, Butler and a friend can be seen rushing from door-to-door searching for people and pets.
Together they rescued three dogs while alerting as many residents as possible before firefighters arrived. Watch the video below:
No lives were lost, the Rapid City Fire Department reports. The fire resulted in one person going to the hospital for possible smoke inhalation.
