Huge, heartfelt thank you to the lovely older couple shopping behind my partner today.

He has been off work ill but gets paid this evening. He needed something and we found what money we could, only to find the price had just gone up. He was short and couldn't make the purchase.

The gentleman of the couple patted him on the shoulder, handed him $20 and said "here, have a good afternoon".

My partner tried to return their probably precious money, but they refused.

My partner has done the same for others in the past but with tears in his eyes, and with a sense of gratitude and humility, he was able to make the purchase.
