She Made Me Cry Happy Tears

I work as a retail assistant in a menswear shop.
Today a senior lady shopping with her husband stopped me and said I just had to tell you how pretty you are. I had never met this lady and she had no way of knowing that in the last two years I have had breast cancer treatment where I lost a breast, my hair and a husband who couldn’t stand by me.
She made me cry happy tears.
When your self image has been battered like mine this sort of compliment just made my heart sing and rocketed my self confidence. I did tell her what she had done for me and why.
