A couple days ago, Detective Brenden Barnes helped out a stranded motorist who had run out of gas.

The driver was in the car with her daughter.

Det. Barnes took a trip to the nearest gas station, bought a gas can and gas, drove it back and got them back on their way.

It just so happened that someone saw this and snapped a picture to send it our way.

A job well done, Det. Barnes.
