An Amazing Experience My Family Had Today

By Cambria Smith • June 26, 2018

There is so much hate in the world that I have to share this amazing experience my family had today.

As a transracial adoptive family we get lots of looks and comments both good and bad.

Well today we were in the middle of nowhere aka Four Corners when a couple told us how beautiful our family was.

This couple happened to be African-American and they continued to talk about what a blessing it is to see our family.

They gushed over Ariel and what a pretty little girl she was.

We all chatted for a few minutes and then said our goodbyes.

Scott and I walked away with smiling hearts.

I wanted to share cause there is so much negative news about race-Black, white, brown, yellow- this needed to be shared.

Many readers told us they started writing down the small positives in their day, and this gratitude journal became a favorite. While others use these kindness cards for kids to help teach them compassion, empathy and encouragement.
