Living To The Fullest
By Elise Carlson • March 14, 2016
Hi, my name is Elise, I am 21 years young. I lived my life being bullied because of harsh rumors. I self-harmed, attempted suicide, got into trouble, did drugs, got dunk...a lot. I didn't really have anyone I could rely on. At 18 I became pregnant with my first child, Dustin. He was truly a blessing, but his father was not around. Being 4 months pregnant I began considering adoption, i knew there was no way i could take care of a baby on my own. But then I met the love of my life, Michael. Throughout my whole pregnancy he made me feel wanted, he was there when our baby boy was born, and to this day we are still together. Today is our 2 year anniversary and we have 2 beautiful children together. We both have great jobs, and we are looking to get a apartment together.
I thought everyday that my life was over, that nobody would want a teenage mom as a girlfriend...But Michael proved me wrong. He showed me more about myself that i never cared to know, and he opened my eyes to a knew perspective in life.
Moral of my story is that, true love really can change your life.
