This Is The Watch That Sits In Front Of Me On My Desk. It's A Constant Reminder That Time Is Precious

I found this watch when I was six years old. I was digging for buried treasure in the dirt of some property my father owned. To the surprise of everyone, I pulled this hunk of scuffed, tarnished metal out of the earth. I gave it to my dad and forgot all about it.

I lost my father to cancer 3 1/2 years ago just after turning 21. During my last visit he went to a drawer and retrieved a gift. It was the time-lost watch, gleaming with a fresh polish and inscribed with a simple message...

"Sean, Thanks for the adventures. Dad."
