A Boy's Act Of Kindness For The Family Of A Car Crash Victim Comes Full Circle
July 8, 2016
On June 30, Brent Price was killed in a car accident. He was just 18 years old and had just graduated high school with plans to attend college.
Following his death, the community gathered to hold a candlelight vigil at a local park.
A 10-year-old named Max happened to stop by the vigil. He had never met Brent, but when he learned the reason for the gathering, he was moved. Max ran home, emptied out all of the money from his piggy bank, grabbed some extra change from his mother's purse and even took money he had been saving for a guitar so he could donate it to Brent's family for funeral expenses.
When asked why he was doing it, Max said, "You know what, they need it more. Just forget about the guitar. I can get that later."
But this story doesn't end there.
Max's act of kindness was featured on the front page of the local newspaper. While a news team was interviewing Max at the same park that the vigil was held, a stranger named Don appeared with a guitar.
Fighting back tears, Don tells Max "I've got a guitar that you just touched my heart. I want you to have it."
