Cat Becomes Mother For Baby Meerkats
June 1, 2020
A cat has become the mother for two baby meerkats at an animal rescue in Pskov Oblast, Russia.
"Two adult meerkats were brought to us for overexposure, and they gave birth to two cubs. Due to inexperience, the meerkats did not know what to do with the children, and they had to be taken away. At first, we fed them baby food every two hours, and there were still many conditions that needed to be met for their survival. We decided to put them together with our cat, and, fortunately, she became a full-fledged mother for them, even feeding them with her milk like her kittens."
