Two Entangled Swans Ask Humans For Help

June 7, 2018

Two entangled swans swam right up to a pair of photographers in Latvia as if they were asking for help.

Alexander and Vitaly Drozdov were walking along the Mazā Jugla River outside Riga, Latvia, when they heard splashing coming from a distant inlet. The brothers, both photographers, discovered two swans struggling in the water, their necks desperately entangled.

Surprisingly, the birds paddled over and allowed Alexander to separate their entwined necks and wings.

"Honestly, I was really surprised when the swan swam to my feet, like he heard what I was saying," Alexander said.
