Ian Manuel was just 13 years old when he shot Debbie Baigrie. Although she survived, he received a life sentence.
About one year into his sentence, he called Debbie to apologize and to wish her a Merry Christmas. He also asked if he could write to her. Debbie eventually forgave Ian and the two began to build an unlikely friendship.
