Watch This 8-Year-Old's First Time Wearing A Bionic Hand
April 22, 2017
Tilly contracted Meningococcal Septicaemia strain B - a rare illness, which at the time was no vaccination for - when she was 15 months old. Up to this point Tilly was a very healthy baby girl and in a matter of hours we were told that it was more than likely she was going to die.
Her little body became covered in black patches. Her hands and toes turned hard and dead. She had massive deep sores and ulcers all over her skin.
Amputation and nine blood transfusions helped her survive.
Eight years later, Tilly was given her first bionic hand. This video is of the first time she tried it on.
