Hearts Are Melting Over This 'Cheesy' Prom Proposal For A Girl With Down Syndrome

For as long as Shaedon Wedel has known Carlie, the young girl with Down Syndrome has had a love of Doritos. So Shaedon, who is best friends with Carlie's brother, decided to ask the high school senior to prom using her favorite food as inspiration for the grand gesture.

Shaedon noted, "Knowing her for seven years now, she's brought nothing but joy to my life. Anyone who's ever around her, she makes them laugh, she always has a smile on her face. She's amazing."

Shaedon's shirt reads: "I know I'm NACHO typical Dorito, but..."

Back: "... I'm going to be CHEESY and ask: WILL YOU GO TO PROM WITH ME?"
