Marine With PTSD Thinks He Knows The Surprise, But When He Sees The Puppy, He Loses It
December 14, 2016
Three years ago, Peter Coukoulis returned to civilian life after serving with the U.S. Marine Corps.
Coukoulis has suffered with PTSD since his return to Tallahassee, FL, finding it difficult to reconnect with everyday life.
His mom, heartbroken to see his daily struggles, decided to get him a puppy to assist with his treatment for PTSD.
Two weeks before Christmas, the Marine's family gathered around him at the kitchen table and handed him a wrapped box. He seemed to know what was waiting for him inside, but the second he peeked inside and saw those two adorable eyes staring back at him, he completely broke down.
His mother told Caters News, "The puppy has already changed Peter’s life; it has made him happy after a very difficult three years."
