This Country Singer's Original Song About His Dad Is Moving Everyone To Tears
June 14, 2023
Country singer Mitch Rossell decided to audition for America's Got Talent with an original song about his own life that is bringing viewers to tears.
Mitch's father got him into music at a young age - he even bought Mitch his first guitar as a kid and always hoped he would play. But Mitch was more into sports and didn't take the time to learn.
When Mitch was only 10 years old, his father died in a car accident.
After high school, Mitch wanted to find a way to connect with his dad and decided to finally learn how to play guitar.
"It was the only thing he ever really asked me to do," Mitch said.
He eventually wrote a song about him - which he performed for the judges on AGT.
"I don't think in all the years of AGT I've cried as much during a performance nor have I wanted so bad for someone to succeed professionally. God bless this man and I'm behind you 110%!" one commenter wrote.
"It's really nice to see a real man and a real father get up there, show some genuine emotion, and demonstrate what real love looks like," another wrote.
