"I had this idea to harness this public energy around the broken healthcare system by sharing one health-related GoFundMe every day for a week+ and changing the life of one family per day," Marcus shared in an Instagram message to Bell.

“How can I give $100,000 to people who need it for medical bills? I want to make sure we do it in the best way. How do we do it?” she asked Marcus. His response was simple yet effective: crowd-fund half the amount and match the rest with her own donation.

Matt Damon and his wife, Luciana, reached out to Bell, pledging to match donations up to $100,000.

Popular YouTuber Mark Rober also joined the effort, committing to a matching donation of $100,000.
