People In Thailand Are Building These Little Shelters For Stray Dogs
April 28, 2022
A man in Thailand has invented a functional shelter for stray dogs made out of recycled billboards.

Ajarn Yossaphon Chanthongjeen came up with the concept during his doctorate program at university, where he sought to provide additional safety to Pak Kret's many stray dogs.
The structure is easily deployable and can be set anywhere within the urban context of Thailand to protect stray animals from rain and intense heat.

Old billboards are recycled into the foldable, mounted tents.
On the back of the panel, a small platform keeps the dog above ground level. This platform provides the animal with a safe, hygienic, and dry place to sleep, while it also allows for food and water to be placed in the shelter.

So far it has been a pretty big hit. It's Facebook group currently has more than 10,000 members with countless photos of dogs utilizing these shelters.
