Pavlina Leising, owner of MM Woodworks in Boulder, posted her daughter's request to the Boulder County Fire Lost & Found Pets Facebook group.
"Hello! I wanted to share something my 12 year old daughter would like to offer to the people who lost their four legged friends," Leising wrote.
"If you lost your pet in the Marshal Fire or know someone who did, send us a picture and Maya will paint a memory peg doll without charge."

"Please share far and wide so it reaches all those affected," she added.

Many people have asked if they could donate to Maya's cause, but Leising has politely declined the offers.
"That is very sweet and thoughtful but we are covering all expenses," she said.
However, if you would like to order something from Maya that is unrelated to the Marshal Fire, you can visit her website.
"She loves custom orders," Leising said.
