Depressed Dog Returns To Normal After Saying Final Goodbye At Best Friend's Funeral

A 13-year-old dog showed signs of depression until she got to say her final goodbye at her owner's funeral.

Julia Beaulieu recently lost her husband to a sudden heart attack.

When he had passed away at home their dog Sadie would not leave his side. After the death, she showed signs of depression, would not eat and waited for him to come home everyday.

Julia believed that Sadie could also benefit from saying goodbye and getting closure herself, and she was right.

"She hadn't eaten since he passed, so I thought by letting her see inside the coffin and seeing him there, maybe it was going to give her some closure as it did for me," she said.

After 10 days of not eating and 10 pounds of weight loss, the moment Sadie walked in her home again after the service she ate two meals worth of food and soon went back to her normal day-to-day activities.
