A Big Cuddle

Today when I went to the self service checkout I let the person behind go first, as she had only had a few things.

This lovely lady was mentally disabled and when she went to pay she got quite upset and confused that the card only machine wouldn't take her coins.

So I reached over and said, "I've got this" and tapped my card. The lady beamed.

Her: "Oh no", she said " You sure?"

Me: "Of course, I hope you have a great day."

Her: "Oh it will be now! Its my birthday on Saturday."

Me: "Well happy birthday, this can be my present to you."

Her: "Oh thank you kind lady"

And then dived in for a big cuddle.

I really needed that cuddle today.
