It's only a little thing but meant a lot to me.

My 81 year old neighbor has been in hospital and is now in rehabilitation to try and get her strong enough to be somewhat independent. She loves cannoli from our local Italian restaurant - today I called in and ordered a serve to take to her.

When I ordered it the staff member looked quizzically at me and I said "yes I often buy it for her as it’s one thing she will eat".

I paid for one serving and when he came back he had given me 2 servings , extra strawberries etc and he gave me the biggest smile and said "hope she enjoys".

It's the small things xx
