If You Boil Popsicle Sticks, You Can Make Something So Cute With Them

June 25, 2015

Who would have thought popsicle stick bangles would be this easy?

All you'll need is a packet of large sized wooden popsicle sticks (or tongue depressors) and place them in pot of boiling water. Gently boil them for 1 hour.

Carefully remove them one-by-one and place them in a paper towel to gently dry. Bend them into a round shape (while still warm and damp) and place them inside an aerosol can lid (or a bowl of similar size).

Let them dry for 24 hours.

Then it's just a matter of decorating them... the possibilities are endless!

One method is to cut strips of fancy scrapbook paper by using the sticks as a stencil. Then use double sided adhesive to adhere the paper to the outside of the bangle.

You can give them a coat of Mod Podge to help seal them.
