June 19, 2024
Meet Kevin, a gentle giant who has recently claimed the title of the world's tallest dog.
This Great Dane from West Des Moines, Iowa, stands an impressive 0.97 meters (3 feet 2 inches) tall from his feet to his withers, as confirmed by Guinness World Records.

Kevin shares his home with his loving owners, Tracy and Roger Wolfe, their two children, Alexander and Ava, and a menagerie of animal siblings – three dogs, four cats, chickens, goats, and horses.
Despite his towering stature, Kevin is known for his gentle demeanor and his amusingly timid nature. His family describes him as a scaredy cat, with his greatest fear being the household vacuum cleaner.
"He is terrified of the vacuum. He won't let it come within 6 feet of him! He will jump and run to get away from it," Tracy shared with Guinness World Records.
Even the process of measuring Kevin for his record attempt was a challenge, as the sight of the measuring tape was enough to spook him.
Nevertheless, his remarkable height was officially recorded, earning him a place in the record books.
When he's not avoiding vacuums, Kevin enjoys his favorite pastime: napping and "holding the couch down." His laid-back lifestyle and endearing quirks have made him a beloved member of the Wolfe family.
