Photographer Prays For Something Great, Then Captures The Perfect Shot

August 19, 2020

Photographer Marco Mancinelli had been on an assignment at a Detroit Montessori school for two days and shot hundreds of photos.

"Some were very good, but I knew I hadn't gotten THE shot," he said.

So, he prayed.

"That afternoon, as we all sat on the floor in a circle listening to a story, I bowed my head and asked God to let me see something great.

When I raised my head, this little girl leaned over to lay her head on the little boy's lap.

He very gently lifted his arm to receive her."

Mancinelli named the photo "The Age of Innocence".
