The San Francisco 49ers Have An Emotional Support Dog
January 22, 2020
Meet Zoë, the first specifically designated emotional support animal in the NFL.
The San Francisco 49ers adopted Zoë in 2018 to provide emotional support and help spread joy among the team with her smile and fun-loving personality.
"The players rely on Zoë to brighten their day," said a spokesperson for the team. "Meetings, practice, and workouts can make for a long day. Zoë acts as a stress reliever."

Zoë spends most of her time lounging around at the team's training facility near Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
She does not travel with the team.

At night time, Zoë goes home with Austin Moss, the 49ers' director of player engagement.
