Dave Grohl Stands Up For Young Musicians In Letter To Cornwall Council
January 15, 2019
Dave Grohl continues to prove he's the "nicest man in rock" after a letter he wrote to Cornwall Council in defense of a band playing music "too loud" has surfaced online.
Dave Grohl turns 50 today. He's achieved plenty during his half-century--Nirvana, Foo Fighters, that lovely hair--but it's safe to say he peaked when he wrote to Cornwall Council. pic.twitter.com/9dqS4wxJaU

The rock legend wrote the letter in support of a young band, Black Leaves of Envy, who were having trouble rehearsing because of noise restrictions.
Here is the letter in full.

Cerys Plenty, 17-year old singer and bassist of Black Leaves of Envy, said she "burst into tears" when she saw the letter.
"I got home and saw the post and I burst into tears because I couldn't comprehend what had happened," Plenty told Newsbeat.
"This complete rock legend is supporting us and it's all very, very real."
